Neal Remediation a natural choice for ground improvement

A platform to build upon

The addition and mixing of additives to soil to modify its chemical properties can drastically improve the strength characteristics of the ground making previously unsuitable material fit for purpose.

The process can be used to enhance engineering plateaus for construction or to improve subgrades for roads and hardstanding. The modification of the soil properties; to strengthen them; reduces the quantity of imported suitable material or stone required for the project, this in turn subsequently significantly reduces the disposal of unsuitable material.

Neal Remediation use a variety of stabilisation products to suit the requirement of each individual site. Dependant on the site conditions and required performance we will design a solution using the following materials

  • quicklime

  • hydrated lime

  • cement

  • low carbon pozzolonic cement alternative

The designed proportion of additives are laid over the top of the treatment area using a spreader and then depending on site constraints the additives are integrated into the ground utilising  either a Dust Free Integrated mixer or standard tractor towed mixer the additives react chemically with the soil and the material is then compacted to achieve the required specification.
